Destruction loomed on the horizon
Spun by the song of a siren
The chaos left me with a twinge of sadness
I lost myself in all this madness
Personal actions are interwoven in a web
I took many-a misstep
I did things that I regret
The tribulation was a test of character
I watched destinies meander
I am not afraid of death
Only when I take my last breath
I want to know that my life wasn't wasted
Even if I endured abasement
Life is finite
Who is the author, the playwright?
I stood up and took responsibility
For my fallibility
